| | Connecting to a Mac remotely (7th Aug 21 at 3:58pm UTC) | | | Unfortunately, I forgot my MacBook at home when I was packing up for a vacation. This wouldn't be a problem, but some urgent work-related stuff popped up and I need to get access a few file on it. Can I connect to it using the Internet or will I need to return home? | |

As for your issue, go here and educate yourself about Remote Desktop functionality. While it's usually used on Windows PCs, you can utilize it to access your Mac from anywhere in the world, giving you access to all the files that are stored on it.

To test whether it is actually corrupting files, start using the best backup applications for Mac in 2021 to test and test your hard drive stress-relatedly. That will demonstrate if it really works wrong or whether it is a software fault that leads to these problems.
